I went to the NASCAR race in Fontana last september( Come ON my boss's boss's boss invited me to a beer fest camp out on the infield) and the stands were empty. Watch a race on TV and the stands are empty. NASCAR NEVER used to be empty. Some of the big teams are having trouble getting sponsorship for the 3rd and 4th car on their teams. I think the field of 43 (43 f'ing cars on a half mile track??!!)
might hit the 35 car mark or less in 2010.
F1 only fields 23 cars? 21? I think some of the sponsors of F1 might have had a rough couple of
months in the last 8 weeks. You might see less than 20. I think less than 20 cars in a F1 race would be a farce.

///mous3-

Nice engine write-up. I think it is best suited to a mid-engined car like the next generation Cayman, rather than high in the rear of a 911.

Thanks- Gerry

Porsche always have been good at putting their race engines into their roadcars. I still am hopeful that, that tradition continues.

Revolution of the Air cool to the water cool has happened and why not rear-engine to a "semi-mid"?
