It's my 5th 911 since '88. Since I got it, I haven't driven anything else. My last GT3 was developed into an AutoX monster, and was not a daily driver (motons, and 600/800 springs), but was a lot of fun at the track and autocross.
The 997 GT3 is a great GT car in the best sprit of the class, and is more capable in stock trim than the 996 MK1 or II GT3's. Note: my car has Pirelli Corsa's, and not PS2 Cups, which I believe make it a far better road car, especially in the wet. Certainly the best 911 I've ever driven and a great DD even on our crappy roads here in Seattle.

In spite of some comments, you cannot drive it more than about 8/10's on public roads without great risk to yourself and others (even then,it's dicey). Comments about going 10/10's on public roads actually mean, 10/10's of one ability. You need a track to see it at its best. The open road, any road presents limitations that a track will not.
Although I have many great roads surrounding me, I do NOT have many great tracks surrounding me. The nearest real track is about 250 miles and the next one is at 350 miles.
