my can harden the 048;s on my 2000 lbs lotus in 2 track days. they will have tread, just rock hard.

seriously though, I've got 4k miles on the advans (and probably 6-8 track days) and literally no wear. They are hard, and this is good because my TT has 580hp- something too soft and surely I'd melt them rather quickly. Maybe it's because of the PSi that I use? they seem to stick best at 36 hot in the rears- which I'm pretty sure is different from the MPSC, R888, etc.
I really only drive my 993TT on the street and lately just track the gt3RS and the MX5.

4000 miles with some track work, that's believable. but like you said, they get hard.
slow street driving they last forever. heck i drive the RS to/from mechanics on my oem ps2 that has 9000 miles on them. no tread, no stick, may even have cords showing. but hey, i only got 55mph.
