Default check this out

well since i bought my car, i've been slowly finding out new and sometimes unusal things about the car. i've had to find these things out on my own b/c the previous owner somehow disapeared off the face of the earth and the dealership said they couldnt get in contact with the guy.
so the 1st thing was comparing my car to other gt3's and seeing that my car was considerably lower than all the stock gt3's. ok so that's cool even though i dont know how far the car has been lowered.
next thing was that my battery started dying after 1 day of not driving it. then at the end of a track day and luckily the last run session. the car doesnt crank at all. all the lights and radio come on but no start. leaving me to get the car pushed and pop the clutch in 2nd gear for it start. well i get the car to dealership and find out that there was a remote auto starter wired on the car and the wires fell apart. which was the cause for the battery dying and the starter not working. got that fixed and last of all i just noticed this; a battery kill switch which is the red **** to the left of the battery.(i dont think this is something in all gt3's

top pic is the off position and 2nd pic is on.

could i just turn that off and on to save the battery or is that not a good idea?

a kill switch is pretty extreme for a totally stock one year old car...I'd like one on my 993 however.

With the frequency you're driving the GT3 (including the upcomming months), the battery cut off makes sense.

It's not something that's stock on the GT3 though. Looks well done.
And the previous owner really needs his *** beat for putting a remote starter in a manual car.

looks like a quality kill switch - previous owner seemed to have been pretty clued-in on these cars which is a good thing.

Don''t click the hood closed with the kill switch on the "OFF" position!

I've had those kill switches on all my older 911 but not on anything newer.
Just drive her once a week and you should be good.....

I can always come down there & drive it for you.

Seriously, this is exactly what that cutoff is for. It should help keep you from experiencing a dead battery from the car sitting too long.

You'll lose whatever settings you have programmed if you use the cut off switch.
Just get a good battery maintainer and plug it in, you'll be good to go.
