10-4 on the wash/wax before and after and I forgot to mention I also use starter fluid frequently. Nevery had an issue with any of the cars but that has been my experiences.

The good news is that the cars ARE getting rubber marks, way too many of my friends keep their go fast cars safely tucked under the protective coverings of cashmere.

Simple Green. Its cheap, available everywhere, and doesn't hurt anything.

Simple Green works really good. I also just used some products I use on my boat and they worked good to. Roll off and 3M Black Streak Remover worked good.

I keep a good coat of Menzerna FMJ on the car so clean up is easy.

I've used Simple Green, but only for wheel wells, tires etc. I guess if you dilute it and follow up with a soapy wash and rinse, it's probably harmless.

Once you're spending the money, time and effort to use Menzerna, it's all been said and done over at autopia (that's where I look for new ideas or problem solving.)

Simple Green is used a lot on motorcycles to get the rubber off. Plus it takes care of oil really well.

Simple GHreen is safe to use full strength. It is noncaustic. Just re-wax after use.

Thanks for all the info!!! I'm going to try Simple Green next time and will report back how it goes. Is Simple Green safe to use on the plastic as well?

Be careful with Simple Green on aluminium wheels, wash it off really well with h2o.

While I think it works excellent on rubber streaks on paint, and no problem on plastic, but I don't think I would use Simple Green on aluminum wheels. Use a BBS certified wheel cleaner for wheels.

I use Simple Green on my CCW wheels with no problems...again Simple Green is non-caustic and will not hurt wheels, rubber hoses ect.

Another big +1 on Miracle Wash. It takes me just a couple of minutes to remove all the rubber marks from the whole car

Default 303 Concerns?

Several people have mentioned a product called 303. I'm not familiar with it personally but it sounds like good stuff for wheel well plastic, etc. Is there any reason for concern about using the product in such close proximity to metal components (suspension, brakes, etc)? Where are you buying it? Thanks.

I use Wizards Shine Master on the paint as well as the clear bra to remove rubber marks. It works great.
