Default Electronic Nannies - PSM, etc?

Just looking for a quick rundown on what sort of electronic safeguards exist on a -7 GT3 and what the Porsche acronyms are. Does the car have stability management? Traction control? Electronically adjustable suspension (PASM)? If so, which of these can be defeated (ie Sport button). Can they be completely defeated or do some kick in but at a higher threshold?

Thanks a lot - I'm shopping a -7 and want to know what's up!

The 7GT3 has PASM which can be locked into the firm position by pressing a button. It has traction control which I find a bit intolerant. TC can be locked out with a button press and once turned off, it stays off. The only other aid is ABS.

Mine has an exclusive nanny. I dont think others have this but they may. I have this high pitched voice
coming out of the passenger area. It says
SLOW DOWN!!!
NOT SO FAST!!
Do you have to go through the turns LIKE THAT!!??

When I leave the wife at home the nanny is defeated.

Hah! Mine has one like that, too, but in the form of my mother.

"Slow down! I feel like I'm in a f@?!ing airplane!" Whatever that means...

I have the upgrade, mine has a set of Nails that finds it way to my right forearm. I can't find the off button however.

Charlie

also it has ABD- which as far as I know is why the rear brake pad bias is a bit more wear-prone than the 996gt3. I believe it stands for automatic braking differential and regulates the rear end while decelerating along with the Limited Slip Differential. The only way it would turn off is with sport suspension, TCS off, and Sport button pressed, but I don't think that you'll either be able to turn it off or notice it.

Thanks. Our turbos have the ABD as well, although a version that's more than a decade older!
