Default New graphic on the car and the sickness continues - (more pics)

I put a new graphic on the hood and I thought a few of you might like to see it. It is modeled off the new cup car graphics on the P-car website. Once the graphics on the side are finished and the red graphics are added to the new wing it should all come together well.

The car is in pieces again as I am waiting on a cup wing and lid. I just got done putting an electrical cut-off in the car and I am probably going to do a fire suppression now too.

Anyone know how to take out the rear window? I am a big DIY guy and I am thinking about the lexan rear window. I am willing to try it. Of course, most of the time ViperBob's team cleans up my mess Is there adhesive holding the window in? That looks like that is the primary element holding it in.

Can anyone say slippery slope? I am pretty sure I am going to blame all of this on VB997.....

I was going to recommend that you talk to VB997 for advice on the rear window. If you are taking out the rear window, then at the very least I would use that opportunity to lighten up your roof some. You need to take out the rear glass if yo want to take out the sunroof internals and other parts of the sunroof.

Or, you could ask VB997 which part you need for the motorsport roof so you can get rid of the sunroof altogether and finish with that lexan rear window.

I'm fairly certain that Alex Ross from Sharkworks knows how to remove the rear window, and he can also advise you on sunroof modifications that remove weight from that area.

Btw, how much does your GT3 weigh now, and with how much gasoline?

Oh trust me, I have my weekly calls with John (VB997)!!!! He is helping a lot.

If get to the point of fixing the hole in the roof it will probably be when I do a full cage. I know he recently put lexan in and he gave me the part numbers. That is why I was playing with the idea but I don't know if I want to get into the job or removing the window and all. It would be a good time to do it since I have the entire rear of the car off while working on the exhaust and waiting on the new wing.

You know, the place I have to go everyday called "the office" is really starting to get in the way of my work on the car!!!!!

best part about lexan windows is that they flex at speed...

you're my hero by the way!

all you need to do now is remove the headlight internals.

Hey man

Shoot me a PM if you think you will have some time when you are in St. Pete later this month (I think you are here playing the Rays). I can run you up to my garage and we can take a look at the car. I will call my buddy too. He is in the garage next to mine and has a nice collection of F cars and a couple of Porsches. About 6 in all.

Default Removing Rear Window

A few pics of the rear window. An autoglass company removed it. It basically involves cutting through the adhesive using a special Cold Knife set-up.

Default Wing

Cup car wing came in today. More work to do but here are a few pictures.

It is from Getty Dedsign. The fit is very good.

Can you post more pics of the cup wing from side and rear view?
