When on track do you run TC On or Off ??? & why
Read the thread about increased rear pad wear... I was told that TC can influence the wear as well as heat since ASR is working in the background at all times clamping the rears....

Off, though for the first session or two of the rear I'll probably leave it on just until I get used to being on the track again. I think the car handles very differently with TC off, is much easier to rotate, and much more sensitive to throttle input while turning. I also agree that leaving TC on effects wear on the rear brakes in particular.

Funny, I have been driving my car with the TC off, on the roads, the last 300-400 miles. My car now has nearly 18,000 miles on it and most of them have been on the curvey roads here on the northern Ca. coast. The car is an absolute blast to drive with TC off! I am getting a little old and the memory isn't what it used to be so the car has to sometimes remind me that the first 17,500 miles were driven with TC on. Hehe!! The only negative; I have been averaging about 3200 miles per set of rear MPSC's, this set has 1380 miles on them and they are down to the wear bars on the insides!!!

I leave it off on track except in the rain. I found that TC interferes with certain turns, causes understeer (i.e. prevents rotation) as stated above. Also seems to promote accelerated wear of rear pads.

I went to PDE and you could not disengage the thing. When I drove, very aggressively, as a pax with HHaywood, I asked him about it, he said he did no care, it did not bother him.
I had my eyes pegged on the dash to see the light while the car drifted and the TC did not intervene. When I asked him, he tested the system and it did work (loose tail). The same happened with the Cayennes. When I asked again, the simple answer was that a four wheel “even drift” will not trigger the TC.

i keep it off.
but hurley is right ( of course ), if you keep it on and it's triggered. just keep the throttle nailed. you will drive right through it. i did that with cayman psm (i know it's not the same, but similar). just keep your foot in it.
