How old is she?
I have a 6 year old and 4 year old (girls) and they love to ride in the RS - and always tell me to go faster! Do you have the Air bag switch on the side of the dash? I have that and had the system programmed to work without the automatic weight sensor. Now the airbag can be turned off or on with the 996 GT3 seats installed.

Nice pic Mooty. Hard to beat being able to pop down to Laguna for the day and arrive back in the Bay Area in time to join the rest of the evening commute.

Sounds like you guys were tearing it up. Must have been fun chasing JVoB around. Was he just having fun or doing some coaching?

So, Jeff driving a 996 GT3 was beating Van Overbeek with a 997 GT3 RS.

Damn, that Jeff is crazy super fast, and way too consistent.

RS pushing on T2 and T11, LOL classic... how does understeer feel? I forgot about it.

...and you are about 1-1.5 secs behind Overbeek driving the same car? pretty impressive....

i would venture to guess so. vob's time is based on my gap. jeff's time is on timer. remember the tires are different and vob is not driving his own car.

well.... on my best lap, sure.
but vob does it over over over and over
and of course, i was on the edge. while vob is probably driving 5/10 LOL

Great photo! It starts with asking to shift, then she's asking for the keys ;-) Sounds like a great day too!

LOL Mooty! It's good to see you gave your daughter a proper seat instead of strapping her to the rear wing. Although she might really like that now.

Good luck with mom and the go-kart!

Cheers,

Default one car... many ways to enjoy

i was just thinking....
so i took the car out and flogged around laguna seca, battling the sound ****...

now, it's time to give the car some TLC.

after washing and waxing it, it went on jack stands. brakes bled, pads flipped (997 has very uneven pad wear. the lower part always wear faster. so i flip them and re-bed them go get even wear). street tires go back on... (literally bald OEM MPSC, too cheap to spend money for rubber that i use only to drive to my mechanics)

geeze, the garage is very messy. no wonder the wife is pissed.... AGAIN.

enjoy....
