Default MPSC 265 front, 315 Rear, great fit.

I finally tried the 265 in the front. Despite previous threads they fit great. Makes the car feel great. As far as I can tell this is my favorite set up. Hoosier might slightly be better but definitely not as lasting.

Give them a try.

By the way, thanks to John from CCW for letting me try them. These were ran on his C14 rims with -2 degrees of camber in the front.

I also have the C-14's and I assume the ones you are talking about are 18". Do you know what the width of the wheels were; 9" front 12" rear??? Also, what were the aspect ratios of the tires?

Thanks,

Stephen

Yes more details please, Size and offsets of wheels. Size and aspect ratios on tires.

Did you move the tire through the entire travel and with the wheel turned each way?

Wheels are the ones John has been making for all the 997 GT3. You can call him for offsets, !2", 9".
Tires are 265x35x18, Diameter 25"2, 315x30x18 25"5.
I just verified these on tire rack. Unfortunately they are in back order!

No rubbing anywhere. Put shoe polish inside and out. Totally clear in town and on the track.

Do you need to have at least 2 degrees of neg camber to clear?

I have 2 degrees of camber but I do not thing you need it. The tire is no where near rubbing on the outside. More camber could be an issue as it is close on the inside.
I was at VIR this week-end. Great week-end. Both my wife and I were driving. About 7 hours of track time. Running about 2min11 second a lap. Car has no mod. Lots of traffic.
Tires are showing no signs of wear!

Wow, 265's, I'm just now getting ready to try 255's R888's for the first time, and I'm nervous about those. Is your car lowered at all ?. My car is lowered to the lowest/within spec setting that the car allows, and when I'm looking at the 245's up front I'm already getting nernous.
I'm not worried about the 315's in the rear, there is plenty of room there. I also run the C14's CCW's. Mooty, are you running 255's on the RS already ?. Is your car lowered ?

what tire pressures are you running hot? front and back? These are the real MPSCs, not the Porsche NO specs, correct? Other than camber, is your car stock?

33-34 FRONT, 35-36 REAR HOT. Camber -2 front and back. These are real MPSC.

Quick Reply: MPSC 265 front, 315 Rear, great fit.
