Not exactly correct.
The 18" mpsc 265 is a 265 / 35 / 18 with a diameter of 25.2
The 19" mpsc 265 is a 265 / 30 / 19 with a daimeter of 25.3

The stock tire size is a 235 / 30 / 19 with a diameter of 25.5

Therefore if it has been proven that the 18" 265 fits, the 19" should fit as well if both cars are running similar offsets, camber and ride height

If section width means anything on tirerack's site, the section width of the 18" is 10.9 versus a slightly smaller 10.7 for the 19" tire.

If Larry is finding that it does not appear to fit, I would guess that the car likely needs to be 5mm higher and maybe needs a little bit more camber OR his rim offset is the problem.

thanks for the detail Paul, I am checking the RG5 9" offsets ...

my main concern is eyeballing the wheel/tire when it is mounted, the MPSC sidewall seems much taller, and more "square" (on profile) and it is "flush" with the outside of the fender lip, I fear that under any
compression of the front shock (despite the fact that under compression the "plane" of the tire/wheel will tilt inwards with respect to the wheel well/fender lip) the tire will make contact with the painted lip of the fender ... which would SUCK!!!

sigh ... maybe more -ve camber might help ...

I think I may have to go back to 235's anyone want an unsed set of 265/30-19 MPSC's?

I have run it both ways at LS not sure which is better no data. Probably need to buy a Traqmate and gather data.

probably sold them already ... but I'll put you in the queue just in case

not sure what the camber is, whatever they shipped it from the factory as,
and yes it's a 9" rim!

BTW I installed my GT2 sway bar yesterday, not as easy as the cup front spoiler but not that hard if you have a 13mm & 16mm sockets, and a T30 torx bit, along with some suspension lube which you can even buy from amazon.com!

Larry

Stock camber and the wider rim explains it
The 9 inch rim really makes your 53 offset more like 47 offset

A few mm less offset and 3 degrees of camber and it would fit for sure

Yeah I think that explains it exactly! ... well I have decided to go with the 235's so if "carerraGT" doesn't want the 265's they are all yours

BTW I mounted the GT2 swaybar (pretty straightforward if you have a Trox T30 bit, 13mm and 16mm sockets - and ideally a rubber mallet and some suspension lube)

I took the car out last night, and from a couple of high speed cloverleafs it seems like a noticable improvement in the understeer

In the interests of information sharing; just to let people know that I ended up NOT going with the MPSC's in 265 on my 9"x19" Champion RG5's ... the added width of the rim, coupled with the that of the tire and the squareness of it's shoulder meant that the wheel rubbed on the inside of the wheel liner and there was real risk of it making contact with the fender paint without rolling and/or some serious front camber. Happily running the 235's YMMV

Thanks for the update, is it possible to post a few pics with the Champions; sounds like a hot combination.

Quick Reply: MPSC 265 front, 315 Rear, great fit.
