wondering if any of you track monkeys has had to replace the tie rod ends yet - I had a noise develop on my TT which was traced to the tie rod end that had started to fail.

What are the tell-tale signs of the tie rod going out? I broke two ribs in a race karting accident several years ago when my tie rod broke. Can't imagine how awful that would be in a big car... :0

Front suspension on RS sounds very crunchy at low speed. Any chance it is failing tie rod end? 13k miles, little track time. Checked by dealer and zone rep and told it is 'normal'. REALLY loud crunch at low speed. Anyone else have similar problem?

Same sound coming from the right wheel of my GT2 at low speeds on bumpy roads, dealer checked it up twice and nothing is wrong...
