I got some pretty good inside info that there will be a 10 but I dont think a 09 will be available.
what I heard was 3.8 direct injection and maybe some kind of paddle shifters. All you have to do is pay attention to what happens in LeMans and ALMS and you can form your own idea. You can see the thread
on the revised S in this forum. If Ferrari keeps kicking Porsche but then somethings gotta happen BUT then again Weidenking or what ever his name is doesnt seem to be too interested in competition or racing. Just moving cars in and off the lot. I hope someone at Porsche figures out how then hell they got here and why all of us are hanging out together, and getting back to the track.

I hope it will be an option and not the only transmission offer. It maybe faster on a track and all. But from a driving enthusiast point of view, it just doesn't do anything for me personally. Feel like driving an automatic - period.

Porsche typically won't announce future plans (until they are good and ready to make their own announcements just prior to launch), but a solid bet is that there will be no GT3's produced again until there is a "998" model, and then it will likely be the next model year (the "GT" versions and "turbo" versions typically lag a year behind regular model intro, at least in US)

I dont think that is a solid bet at all. They cant wait for the 998. The Ferraris are dominating the GT3s Now and The GT3s need some HP, the racing insider I know told me for sure that a 3.8 997 MkII is coming. That tells me the 998 is going to be awhile.

I agree. From a racing standpoint, they need to homologate another car and from a sales standpoint, people loved the 997 GT3 and it would be very easy to get another 30-40 hp with DI and 3.8 liters which would be more than enough to warrant a new model.
