Other than the obviously higher grip levels, how was the overall balance of the car (highspeed and low speed corners) with the new tires and rear bar
Only did one 15 minute session to heat cycle them at the end of the day.

Glenn was actually driving my car for the session. He was blown away by the grip levels. Balance was great.

We had a good laugh when he jumped out the car grinning like a lottery winner, struggling for superlatives.

If it's dry, I'm going to run them on 15th March at Oulton Park.

Three other options I want to try...

Toyo R888's in standard sizes.

Michelin Cup+ in 245/35/19 front, 325/30/19 rear.

Pirelli Corsa in 245/35/19 front, 305/30/19 rear.

The Cups have just become available in these sizes. The 245 is what comes on the new BMW M3, whilst the 325 is what they fit on 997 GT2's.

I really like the Corsa's on the road. They are also good in the wet. So I reckon Corsa's for the road + Hoosiers for the track is the best no compromise choice right now for a 997RS.

Not sure if the 325 rear will fit on a regular 997GT3. Expect you would need to remove the 5mm spacers! Anyone tried yet?

Depends if the GT2 comes with a spacer or not Scott! My un-educated guess is that it does as both use the same wheels.

yes the GT2 does come with a 5mm spacer on the rear axle, the same as the GT3 and RS.

(Only the GT2 and RS are based on the wider body with larger arches.)
