Default New 2008 RS Avialable

Just got a call Champion Motor's in Pompano Beach Florida is receiving a white/black RS today. Special order car I assume buyer backed out sales contact is Paul Gruber (954-263-2042), mentioned an MSRP of around 159K I think they are asking +30-40 maybe negotiable.

I believe they had the highest allocation of 5 2008 cars this might be an additional one. My RS is due in a few weeks thought I would pass it along.

Good Luck

Does seem a bit high, I am paying MSRP $161,000 but went to them when my allocation went bad @ the time they had three slots avail at 50 over but there was some room for negotiation. Possibly now as well.

I think it's turned into a perverse bragging right. "Yeah, I decided to pull the trigger and just write them a bigger check. You only live once, carpe diem, and all that... "

It's probably going to wind up in a plastic cocoon somewhere.

It pisses me off that a large dealer gets 5 2008s which means they probably got 10 or 15 2007s and my local small-time dealer got 1 2007 and 0 2008s. Lesson learned.

I figured a dealer with the name "Holbert" might carry some extra weight in regards to getting an RS, but that idea was apparently misguided as well.

If I was spending that kind of money I would highly consider 997 GT2.

Apples to Oranges.
360CS Stradale (now in $200K range) to RS is more like it even if they are about a few years apart in model-year but both cars are target to one group of buyers and both are now in the same price range.

I have not driven a 360CS nor a RS but when I drove my brother's 996GT3, all I can say is;
dayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyummmmmmmmmmmmmm

The name of the game is MONEY as in how much did a specific dealer make for PAG/PCNA!

Some are preparing for the recession in the US by putting their money into the cars.

er...the gt2 might be an option, if one could get it at msrp! My dealer asked 50 over and got 45. So really you are looking at 245.
