I had the track alignment settings and corner balancing done when i got the car back in the US. I tracked the car before and after the change and it was a completely different car. It felt planted and very neutral. My cross weights were off by over 100lbs so I think the corner balancing really helped make the car handle better. I recommend having a corner balance done as well if you haven't touched it before.

How did they accomplish the corner balancing?

Thanks for the corner balancing suggestion. Do you use the track settings for street driving as well?

until i can do my own alignments at home, i will just leave the car at the track alignment specs all the time. the tires don't seem to be wearing noticeably more than before.

nothing much to it, just involves adjusting the height of the car at each corner to load balance it. think of it as making that wobbly bar stool stable by making sure all the legs are the same height.

my alignment shop guy has the scales but he has to measure, then put the car on the lift and make adjustments and then measure again. do that half a dozen times with me sitting in the car to properly account for my weight and you have a good 4 hours including the alignment of sitting around. not bad since the result is well worth it.

Uh, I live in Georgia. I'm lucky to get an alignment. My dealer can't do one. In fact, in my area, I've never even seen another RS at the track or otherwise. I've got an idea Mooty, move to Savannah, bring all your cars past and present, bring your mechanic and I'll buy a cup car. It'll be a blast!
