I gotta admit I was a little shocked when I saw the plates....So let me get this straight...Park Place screws over a local (Dallas area) professional sports figure on a GT3, then goes and hooks up somebody 2,000 miles away (no offense Fernando)???...wow..nice job Park Place..Do I even need to point out the many reasons of how ignorant that is...

no offense taken. well, they did get for $2500 markup. so, can you explain more about "this professional sports figure on a GT3"?

$2500 is nothing, you got a great deal...Again, I mean no offense to you at all, I would have jumped all over that deal...CJ has posted his story on here in other forums about Park Place and how they handled his purchase, or lack thereof, of an allocated and spec'd GT3...Then CJ had to get his car from a dealer 2,000 miles away...

Easy there fella, that is not at all how this went down. CJs experience aside (which sounds like it sucked with Park Place, no excuses there), this was a completely different transaction. I cant speak to his experience, and I have no relationship/love for Park Place. However, this car was ordered for me through an allocation spot and they were charging me MSRP for the car. I wanted to pass it along to a Rennlister... (CJ would have been first on my list by the way, but he already had one). The fact that they marked it up $2500 could be debated/commented on, but comment on that... this transaction had absolutely nothing to do with CJ. They would have preferred I replace myself with a local buyer, but I wanted this to go to a Rennlister.

All for one, one for all... the day I heard about CJs experience, my view of Park Place went down a few notches. However, my experience with them personally was absolutely first rate, and it is my understanding that Fernando had the same experience.

All I'm saying Jonathan is that Park Place in your/Fernando's situation handled it in a way that I would look highly upon, kudos again to you for helping the deal take place....On the other hand, they screwed CJ....That's all I'm saying..and screwing over someone who could have brought in much more business/publicity is not very smart...

CJ posted a few comments on this thread Fernando..

i can definitely agree with that.... although i think CJ would tell you that he puts his pants on one leg at a time too...dont know him well, but i distinctly get that opinion about him... pretty humble guy

from looking at his stable, he is definitely spending more money on Porsches than anyone I know in Dallas ....bad move Park Place

thanks guys. the gt3 with the white wheels belongs to my co-worker. i'll tell you, its really hard working with a friend who owns a gt3. after seeing in his car all the time, i had to get a GT3 sooner.
