Yeah, thanks NSXTC for spilling the beans about the Tooth Fairy. All this time I happily believed those vents were functional. Oh the disillusionment...

char: I was sitting still and they were going 35 MPH and never touched the brakes. They hit square on the bumperettes. About $27K in damage but the repair was perfect.

Believe you me, I'm just as disappointed as you are. BTW, there's also no Santa Claus, Easter Bunny, nor a perfect 34DD-24-34 (one side is always bigger than the other)....Bwahahahaha (Evil laugh)

OK. Here's an update. I looked at trying to design and fabricate an exhaust myself, but the time and effort to do this is not good ROI on my part. So I did the next best thing and ordered Sharkwerk's system!! Just got it today and can't wait to put these on. Thank Alex for the R&D!

NSXTC, do you know if those little bumperettes are removable on their own, IE: if i get bumped i can just replace those and not have to pull the whole bumper?

If you review his amazing pics of the disassembly process, you will see that the medial and inferior aspects of the bumperette have slot/tab fixtures while the lateral and superior aspects have plast rivets.
I noted that I will have to replace the rivets only (which will be done when I order not one, but two of Sharky's pipe systems!)
In any case; the bumper does need to come off to replace the plastic rivets ( I will probably use the tried and true "official racing equipment zip-ties" instead of trying to get the dealer to cough up the rivets

There are also a few nipples on the top and sides which when you do get the tabs loose, I figure you can just again pry off.
Honestly, getting the bumper off is a 20 min job. And you won't damage any paint work as you may trying to pry it off from the outside. Just make sure you have another person to help when you pull the bumper. Otherwise, put some blankets down.
