if your dont have a harness or a roll bar then what are you tying the shoulder straps to?

if you have a harness bar, yes, you can use the harness, but imo, it's not very safe and i see no reason against the installation of a roll bar. you can ge the factory RS bar and stay OEM.

the 996 schroth belts will fit either the 996 or 997 but you *DO* need a bar in the back to mount the shoulder straps too ...

Right I meant roll bar.....
Definitely a harness bar is needed at minimum.

Thanks

well, yes, you can use harness bar to secure the harness using euro club sport GT3 seats. but you really should use a roll bar. it's much safer and you can still stuff soft luggage in the back.

Sharkster is right on the money with his assessment of the size limitations for these seats...looks great, but must be anorexic to fit them

anyone want to swap out a set of XL CGT seats for my RS seats?

They had to be fab'ed. The bar was modified (shortened) to clear the sun roof properly too. Then painted cobalt blue to match my wheels and stripe on the car.

jim, nice install.
if i may make an suggestion, get a pari of split collar rings and push the shoulder strap right against each other. that way they are less likely to fall off your HANS (which you should be wearing).
