I do not know exactly the values but maybe someone here knows the numbers:

take the stock RS weight and subtract the following:

1. PCCB's option = ? lbs. off (40?)
2. A/C delete = 40 lbs. off
3. RS Carbon fiber seats = at least 100 lbs. off (IIRC, stock seats are > 50 ea.
4. stripped luggage space = ~ 27 lbs. off
5. light weight Rims of your choice for maximum dieting = ? lbs. off (10/corner ?)

easy to get at least 240 lbs out to get down to a slim 2810...then add in the 40? pound roll bar to get NJ-GT's magic # of 2850.....strip the interior and ???

I find that one hard to believe. I'll give you 60 lbs max. I am talking about the regular sport seats, not the adaptive ones.

My shop tells me that the regular sport seats weight 75 lbs each. The race seats complete without harnesses are under 25 pounds. Looks like the 100 lb savings is pretty accurate.

Apparently very few dealers took and held deposits this time around.
Customers who got to spec a 2008 GT3 RS are rare, and lucky.
Most dealers ordered cars to their specs, and are selling them at premiums.
Some list them on their web sites, some do not.

I've found 7 listed on various dealer web sites.
I've listed the 7 on the gt3rsregistry web site. see link below.
listed under "2008"

I've also been contacted by a dealer about an incoming RS, available
for a premium, but that dealer hasn't listed it on their web site yet.

Nice work. Compiling that list must have taken a lot of work and time? Did you do a list for the regular GT3?

Nice job building this registry. Do you update it often? I ask because it looks like a pretty high percentage of the cars are for sale - just wondering if so few people actually drive theirs (I drive mine - vin # 3207). Thanks.

13,000 miles? what are you doing? The RS is supposed to be a collector's car. It will be worth a lot of money in 30 years (although my BRIC equity funds might do better).

$70k over for a brand new RS, that's the price of a 997 Carrera.

$220k buys a nice F430.

Check on AutoTrader. There are way too many 997 GT3 RS and 997 GT3 for sale nationwide.

Supply and Demand, that's what really determines price.
