she does get 50% of the driver seat time in the car,... so it was only fair. I'm actually very appreciative that she stuck to her guns on that color. I only really wanted a NA manual, and at the time (late 2017), I would have been fine buying a 991.2 manual 3 in Sapphire. She was the one who said they were very different colors, and it was Aqua or nothing. So the search headed back to the 997.2. At the time I had not spent any time reading any posts from you guys,... but then after we bought it, and I drove it for a month or so, and started digging into all your posts here for so many years, the appreciation become QUITE apparent that this is one VERY special car. It is now a dead couples car,... haha
Funny additional story on our purchase,... our local dealership told us (again this was late 2017), that their VIP list to get an allocation on a 991.2 manual 3 was about 15 - 17 people. They said very little chance we could get an allocation (& I wasn't really interested in shopping every dealership across the country),... BUT, they said if we bought a 997 GT3, and brought it in on trade (thereby they would get a GT, FOR a GT), they would bump up us on their list. So a shopping we went..... then she saw Aqua,... and it was kinda done at that point. Took us about 8 months to find one (the non-RS fit our needs better),... and once we brought it home, drove it for a month or so, it was time to "drop by" the dealership to give them a peak (we already knew at that point they would NEVER get the car),... but it suuuuuuuuure was fun to hear them BEG to get the car. We just smiled & thanked them for sending us away on a 991.2. LoL.
