Is an updated or new super car from Porsche, to replace the GT-1 or CGT, in the works? Any information? Thanks in advance for all it input.

Seem the logic leans to Ferrari's 599/612 flagship route -- put a big engine (V10 or bigger) in the front and create a higher-price ($250K and higher) super GT. While maintain the 911 as the mainstream mid-size sports car (Flat 6 or Flat 8). And keeps the Boxster/Cayman as the entry-level lighter-weight fun-to-drive sports car (Flat-6)
This sounds like a good high/mid/entry sports car product line for Porsche.
Just a thought...

its not a Panamera, and nothing like one. The Panamera is going to be a four door, think Volkswagen Cayenne meets Volkswagen Q7, has a baby and gets sat on by an elephant, the resutring child is sent to a cosmetic surgeon with a 911 fetish.
the biggest problem of the 612 approach is the sheer size of the car. It is not convenient in European cities. Its wider than some Italian village streets. Small cars are more fun to drive than big cars.
The Aston Martin Rapide will be a much more accomplished option unless the engineers screw things up completely, which I have good reason to doubt.
Talk to a German petrol head and you will hear soimething like 'I want / (have) a 911, but I desire an Aston Martin' - powerful brand.

Whilst this very nice looking car has its merits -

Sure the chassis needs refinement, that will come, the 911 is sorted in that respect, but then so it damn well should be, its drawing a pension.
