So I guess 289 was not the real number of RS's to be sold by PCNA. Big surprise right.

 

The cars delivery July onward could be 08 cars.
Does anyone know if the cars delivered after July are 08's or not?

The numbers probably include 08's now.

 

Mine was an August delivery (July build) and it is an 07.

 

Both my GT3 and RS were July builds, August deliveries, and are 07 cars.

 

Yes, I was surprised too to see the 295 number for the RS too. I think the rumor was that there would be 229 RSs for 2007, plus 30 or so "pool" cars . . . then, another 60 or so for 2008? So, 319 total? But with 295 already delivered, guessing the total will be higher . . . .

 

My understanding from the factory tour is that the factory shuts down for the month of August for vacation. All cars built prior to that are current year those built after that are the next years.

I have. I have a VIN, but the car is not here yet. I expect it w/in 2 weeks.

 

So, almost 1,000 997 GT3 in 8 months, which is about as many 996 GT3 were brought to U.S. between 2003 and 2005.

These cars are selling better than the 996 version.

However, I don't like the fact that they're bringing a high number of RS, with more cars coming next year. Based on the current numbers, and the 2008 being produced until the end of this year, I won't be surprised if the RS hits over 400 cars.
