U.S. model with custom colors, interesting...

I wonder what's the secret to buy what you want?

Default Thanks, Jeff

Jeff,
Thanks for posting the pictures of my pal's car. The blue is a "paint to sample" blue that matches the blue of the '73 RS. Now if any of you get grief from your dealer that you can't get your RS with a paint to sample color and graphics, you can just show 'em these pictures and tell them they aren't trying hard enough.
My pal tried very hard, but successfully so, as you can see.
And I think white with blue is an outstanding combination!

Love the exterior. Less convinced of the interior. Is it the same blue as the 996 RS?

You need to know someone who knows someone or be lucky and have a dealer who knows someone who knows someone etc. or otherwise has very good relationship with the factory, not all dealers can pull it off.

I love it. I originally had my white ordered with cobalt, like the Jim Bacus car. Last minute, I went to white with black. I know this isn't cobalt, but it is making me regret my change.

A few hundred phone calls and emails to the right people (USA and Germany), a very good dealer who won't take no for an answer, be willing to suspend your production spot for 7 months (and you dealer agreeing to do so and wait for their profit), and an approval by the Porsche Board. Really that is all that it took! Oh and the previous purchase of a lot of porsche cars!
