Default White GT3 Arrived.

Haven't taken any pics yet, but I took delivery of the GT3 this afternoon. Had to deal with Boston 128 traffic on the way home, but its a remarkably comfortable ride in comparison to a series 1 996 GT3.

Pics/Impressions to follow, all being well its coming with me next week up to the BMW club event at Tremblant.

Only annoying thing so far is the airbag warning being intrinsic to the sun visors, I'm used to having them just taken off as stickers. I assume one can buy a set of euro visors to get rid of the annoying warnings. Has anyone bothered to do this, or is this unduly ****.

Have you tried the MK1 in USA?

Actually only in the UK. But on comparably bad roads to those here in New England.

Here are some pics - taken with the phone so not the best quality. Perfect radio station to describe the car though

Well as you can see a warm day in Boston (and that's in the basement parking garage at my office). I had to have an iced coffee. I wondered if I'd get busted for that, and there you go, I did!

Don't let these guys find out you have a sun roof or they will be all over you like a cheap suit. You are already on the list for the A/C and Nav. Hopefully you will love the car and drive it for fun. All those extras, in my opinion, enhance rather than detract from the experience. Best of luck.

My thinking entirely. Its a road car that's somewhat track focussed. If I was really worried about ultimate lightness and performance I'd have bought a cup car. I did look at them but the ones I found (997) people wanted 20-30K over the ex-factory price for them.

So therefore I specced, NAV, Full speakers for the stereo, Chrono.

BTW - must publicly give credit to Harry at P of Nashua NH, a pleasure to deal with. Honest and straightforward. Much better than the Boston area P dealers.

In your defense, you were forced to take the sunroof. Just don't admit you would have ordered it if it was an option.
