RS Wing Installed - First Impressions
I had a chance to take the beast up in the alps for the past two days after having the RS wing and front lip (in addition to the cup screens and 3M film) installed:
Impressions:
Above 250km/h the car is much more stable with the RS wing, at least that is my impression from an Autobahn section that I am now very familiar with. I love the looks - still get a lot of people taking pictures with their mobile phone cameras. This time I spent a fair amount on German and Austrian country roads and handling and braking proved to be absolutely fantastic, however it takes a lot of shifting to keep the revs up - my RS4 is much easier to keep at speed. Braking from 300km/h at times is "interesting" to say the least - I wonder how PCCBs would do. Forget the "hard" damper setting - it's useless as the car is all over the road, even on smooth road surfaces. I have now a little over 1500 miles on it, used 1 quart of oil and it is now much better to shift.
Ran into a Covrvette C06 as well and he was able to follow me way past 300km/h with no sweat. This is an amazing car and I look forward to my next outing in 3 weeks. No more mods for now.

Looks awesome Frank. I would do the same thing without hesitation.

Very nice car, Frank!
A quick question: am about to replace the lip on my GT3 for the first time and am wondering whether to go for the RS lip. I know it has a slightly different edge, but does that really improve aerodynamics (downforce)?
Thanks!
