Default Windshield

I just had my 997GT3 windshield cracked by a small stone. My dealer tells me the windshield is the same as the 997 Turbo.

Some years ago, I had the same issue with my 996GT3 MkI and the windshield was different than the regular 996, do not know about Turbo.

Are all 997 windshields the same?

Thanks,

They order you a windshield by your VIN#, which tells them what kind of antennae you have in the glass, the tint, and the presence or absence of rain sensors. I just went thru this with my TT.

Interesting...We were also had a rock crack the windshield on the new GT3(MY07). Granted, at a Road America DE. But we also noticed alot of small chips in the windshield afterwards as well...Hope its not an issue...

If you want to save weight, put a Cup windshield, they're thinner.
