However, combine the '07 total delivered + 60 of the '08 and you're not far from the 229 + 30 VIP cars...

160 GT3's for model year 2008.
The breakdown will be 100 GT3's and 60 GT3 RS's for the entire U.S..

Thats what I've come up with FWIW

Default It's all about the money

Porsche stock tops 1800.00 per share. Make as many as we can sell. And with the new 997 GT2, we only have one more 997 model introduction before the new (998) model lineup...the Turbo Cab. And then it starts up again.

Bobby,

I think the "debate" has been whether there will be new allocations or not and as finally dealers know, and have told to their customers, there are as some of us have said all along.

What's next? Oh yes, the welded plates!

How many of the '08 GT3's and RS' do you guys think will go for MSRP...?

I bet it will be a low percentage that will be that low....

I thought I was the only one who saw this. This is the line of thinking I have been under.

I spoke with my dealer today...a real standup guy...and he told me without any reservation that they were getting no more RS allocations.

Regarding the factory welded plates...I'm not opposed to wagering a few dollars that those who have them are lucky as none of the incoming RS' are gonna come with those.

LOL. Jim, I think you should bring it in person. Anyway, let's wait for the final disposition of the matter.

I heard today that PCNA is pleading their case, for PAG to make good on an earlier forecasted 200 3's and 100 RS's for the US (roughly doubling numbers).

A year from now when the dust settles, friends of friends of friends have had a drive/ride in their friends friends RS' the truth will out that this is a one-of-kind performance car and the values will hold. All BS aside, the 1997 Turbo S, is still commanding sticker if not higher prices 10 years later!

So how many are gonna go at MSRP? A few honest dealers will sell to committed customers at MSRP, and more will sell for above.

The Turbo S was the last and highest performing of the air-cooled 911 street cars. I don't see the 997GT3RS following that legacy, but who knows...

_______________
well, yes and no.
most "somewhat" limited production cars, with super low mileage, will hold their msrp or higher after 10-15 years.

911 carerra speedster
964RSA
993TTS

timing has a lot to do with it. if one of us parked a 996gt3 or 997gt3RS for 15 years with 500 miles on the clock, i am quite certain that. the KEY is wait for 10-15 years and dont drive it. a 100k miles 993TTS will drop in price like a rock, in fact low production cars will drop value faster than most cars % wise if you actually drove it. and by driving i mean 20k a year, drive it EVERYWHERE.

KO,we will do so. It has been over ten years since I have had a vacation from the concrete. I need some R and R so when the car comes in the first trip behind the truck will be to Texas.

No one is saying differently...I'm just saying that a few of us have been saying all along that there would be '08 RS' not whether they were 30 or 60...btw that's twice as many...
