Default Turn a 997C2s into a GT3?

Or get it as close as I can. Suspension is where I will start first. Any ideas?

Just sell the 997C2S and buy a GT3. I bet by the time you are done spending money on the 997C2S it would have been a wash anyway.

That M64 crate motor is going to set you back some serious cash.

Shame that regular 911's come with punched out Boxster M97 craptastic wet sump motor.

They are on the short list. Also looking at the Bilstiens(sp). I'm really looking to make my C2S into as much of a track car as I can because it has PSM. I can haul *** as good as the rest of my int2 run group with proper tires, etc. I just want a car that I can track a lot without the fear of stuffing up a car like the RS that cannot be replaced. I have already put my RS into the wall at LR, don't want to take too many chances with it till I get more seat time. (damage was very minor)

Into the wall at Limerock? Ouch. Why not sell the C2S and get a 996GT3?

Of shocks and springs.... You know...., most everyone running the IMSA GT3 Cup series this year has removed their stock non-adjustable Sachs dampers and replaced them with 2-ways. They may also have replaced their springs though they have to run the same rates. So.... that might be an inexpensive but efficient means to upgrade you dampers. Of course you're going to want to change out all the other bits & pieces too I expect....

May be a silly question, and certainly no help to your quest if you intend to go through with it, but why do it at all? You already have the track car, the RS, and a rocket, the tuned SL.

+1 if they put a decent engine in the 911 I wouldn't be buying a turbo.

For tracking the C2S, add coil-overs, track wheels, pagids, roll bar and go.

Excuse me for going a bit out of topic.. Only a short question:

HTML Code:
the IMSA GT3 Cup series this year has removed their stock non-adjustable Sachs dampers and replaced them with 2-ways. They may also have replaced their springs
I understand that those are GT3's changing their dampers ?
Do you know which 2-way dampers ( brand and reference ) are they using and the springs ?

I will need to replace my stock GT3 shocks and looking for a "reasonable" TRACK ORIENTED change..

Thanks in advance for your help..

for your purpose, assuming you have a good suspension set up person, look in to JRZ and moton shox.

I wouldn't put a bunch into a c2s, it will never be as good a DE toy as the RS. Prolly be cheaper just to buy an old cup car and save the RS( and just pump the c2s down the road). I've seen that wall at LR take out some nice cars, be careful with the RS.
