Default Need help finding a track

Can anyone reccomend a good track near the New York City area? Maybe one that has a storage facility for cars?

Arrive and drive or a membership type of track? Arrive and drive the closest I guess is pocono and Lime Rock.

There is a private club opening up in PA that looked interesting. A bit too far for me. Alpine motorsports club. www.alpinesignature.com

If I want to arrive and drive I need to be a member of a car club. Which club can I join?

I did receive an invitation to join Alpine last year. I was considering it. Any idea of what the membership costs?

I think it is around $30K plus a yearly membership fee. There is also a Drive and Race club opening in Monticello, NY. Their prices are somewhat higher.

What about joining a car club that has access to tracks like Lime Rock? Are there any that I can join?

What kind of car do you want to drive? If you want to drive a 996 cup or a 996 GT3 RS or RSR other turbo or normally aspirated GT class race cars; contact Rick DeMan DeMan Motorsport ...he will arrange for a car to be brought to a track near by and have full on track support and in-car or radio coaching or lead/follow if you wish and one of several pro drivers to coach you as well if you are really interested.....his racing pedigree and records speak for themselves

PCA has driving schools. I also suggest BMW CCA. they will let you participate in their driving schools with any car.

Definitely join Metro NY PCA. They have ALOT of track days and run a top notch program. Rick Deman can help you with transport and support so you can arrive and drive. I would be wearry of the "country club" programs, so far I have not seen one pan out.
