Information? I've read many post regarding RS allocations and so far I've seen a lot of misinformation, and not a lot of information.

With that arguement would you consider all that lie within the Rennlist pages 'misinformation'?

Seems to me the same people that have contributed something about the RS are the same people contributing in the 997/996/987/964 ect ect ect forums.

I'd hardly say that ALL those people are giving out 'misinformation'.

We all do the best with what resources we have, no?! (with exception of a short few)

You get what I'm saying, right?

US$49,999 over MSRP and you can get the car. Call some bigger dealers in California, they'll hook you up. Bring a bottle of EVOO, though.

Talked to one of my Service Advisors yesterday while our car was in service, asked if they had or when will their RS be in, told me they had one not sold ordered out build date in June. He said they will sell at MSRP.

I called my lady that we're in wooohooo, just needed to come back to dealer, talk to sales, lock a fat deposit and spec the car.

3:00 call came, sales guy tells me GT3 will be coming in summer, I told him RS right...................reply............ RS's are all sold and gone but can get me the GT3 and still work the specs.

I love the GT3 but the RS is pulling me over the hill.

I guess we'll wait for the next evolution of 911 hopefully with the RS coming back.

Side note:
Man you guys are a tough bunch on this forum, I just about had to lock myself in a room and take a few pills to relieve my headache after reading all your posts regarding the RS

With open arms and clenched fist's............we welcome you!

Just kidding Vino. The RS has been a rather 'emotional' topic as of late.

But on another note; I'd ask you to do research on the GT3. That car is FANTASTIC! You might want to start with that car- you'll never regret it!

Not sold out if anyone is willing to pay $30K-$50K over MSRP.

I just came back from my dealer an hour ago. It has an orange RS arriving in about a month. Heavily loaded (every options with lots of carbon trims, MSRP around $150K-ish). Available with markup.

They were trying to sell the RS to me (with markup, of course). Thanks to the folks in the forum I didn't proceed, and bought a 997S for the time being from another dealer (I still have a GT3 on order).

I talked to my RS sales and he was not that happy... I heard that they are going to bring up my case in their next dealer sales meeting. I was a good long time customer of that dealer, and they lost my 997S sales to another dealer because I didn't proceed with the markup-RS... Oh well...

I am sure there are lots of interesing RS stories all over the dealers...

With best regards,
- Alex.

In a couple of years I am going to look forward to buying an RS for around $90K. It will round out my collection, mark my words. All this hype is just hype. Look what a 996RS is worth? Many on the market. Did they not have similar hype in Europe?

If I am wrong I will just blow my head off for trading #1 RS spot at BH for a GT3, because the salseman convinced me they were going to have sunroofs. It worked out for the best, I am sure they would have sent back my deposit anyways, sold it to the they guy next door then took it back in on trade any sold it for $50k over. Oh well you can't win them all.

What kind of bullet are you going to use? Your sales guy screwed you.
