Question 08 GT3 MK1 or 09 GT3 MK2 ?

07 GT3 is all gone, so I have to wait for a 08 GT3. I guess it will be the same as the 07.

Do you think I should wait one more year for a 09 MK2?

I love the look of the current GT3, but the MK2 with LED and new design might be better?

I will keep this car for at least 5 years, so do you think LED lights is better for a long term view?

Get a new/used and when the "new" shows up in the market, check if you like it and then make your choice. You just said it, Quote: I love the look of the current GT3, BUT the MK2 "IF" with LED and new design MIGHT be better?

nobody knows if there even will be a 09 GT3. LED's will last basically as long as the car does however the cost of a couple incadescent bulbs is hardly a reason to wait to buy a 100K car. As for 07's I bet there is still a couple to be found in this country. either that or you could find an early 08 pretty easily. good luck.

The best GT3 is the one you can start enjoying soonest - new or used.

07 GT3 is all gone, so I have to wait for a 08 GT3.
A quick question...

I have put down a deposit on last X'mas, but haven't had the allocation yet. Does it mean that my order is now officially bump to a 08?

Please advise, so I can set my expectation on the delivery time frame

Thanks, and with best regards,

the dealer knows exactly how many allocations they have for next 6 months. if they haven't given you an allocation that means you don't have one for this year. you can ask them how many people are on the wait list for an allocation. that would give you a better idea of when you can expect one. keep in mind small dealerships may only have a couple allocations.

Get one as soon as you can. I would not think about it for a second. No reason to wait.

is your dealer in nor cal? if so, they are lying to you.
all the allocations are know at this moment. the dealer either have it or not. allocation for 08 (assuming there are 08's) are totally unknown, how can they promise you anything. why dont they take deposits for the 2009 CGT Mk2... seems to be vaporwere to me.

a friend with july allocation have already ordered their car and got pro forma in hand now. maybe you should confront your salesperson. if he can't promise you his first born, he's lying through his teeth.

OOPS, never mind. you are are talking about GT3, i was mumbling about RS.

Well, my salesperson is very honest on the RS to me -- He told me that all RS (if any) coming to the dealer are all spoken for, he honestly doesn't think that he can get me one

Anyone knows why Porsche set a quota for the GT3?

Why not just sell it like the Carrera?
