Nope. Thankfully the sport button (which boosts midrange punch and opens the exhaust) is severered from Sport Chrono in the GT3. That is, Sport Chrono is only a stopwatch in the GT3, making it essentially painless to go wartless.

What he said... I'm SO SO happy to not have the wart!

Looks fantastic! What a great choice. Great interior too. Like the door finishers. Did them in mine too.

Now take your bad boy to get VentureShield applied and detail that thing. I had my 3M stuff removed and replaced with the new VentureShield material. Looks great.

I already had the Accutint place do my car. What didn't you like about the 3M stuff?

(Cool picture too)

Default Sunroof

It was kind of warm today, so I was driving the new GT3 with the sunroof open. Man, does it sound good with the roof open! Complaints about the sunroof not withstanding, I enjoyed it so much I had to post about it.

A GT3 convertible, anyone?

That would be fun! Seeing a GT3 cabrio! A friend of mine paged me earlier today asking if I was out in Issaquah because he thought my car was there. We both have the same wheels so that's where he got confused. I asked him to check to see if the car had a huge wing on the rear and sure enough it did, it was your GT3. I knew it couldn't have been mine because it was up in Lynnwood getting the VentureShield put on.

Accutint originally put the 3M material on my car but I noticed that the front end seemed to look like a different shade of blue which was because of the yellow tint of the 3M film. VentureShield is much clearer and truly looks invisible to the naked eye and the front end matches the rest of the car too. They also applied a permanent nano-based coating to the car so I'll supposedly never have to wax/polish my car again.

Ray,

Nice Car. I figured you would be inline for a GT3RS. Beautiful car. I have always enjoyed talking to you at Barrier and Admiring your cars. Great looking Cars

PS: Can I be next after Pete? I can do better than a Mustang.
Well, he's driven all my other cars. The Mustang is the newest steed in the stable, which he hasn't driven yet Hey, it's blue too!

Interesting. What shop is putting the VentureShield and nano stuff on?

It was put on by BJ and John at Metropolitan Detail up in Lynnwood (425) 672-8140.

I did a writeup here: https://rennlist.com/forums/997-turbo-forum/326279-3m-clear-bra-removed-and-replaced-w-ventureshield.html

Cobalt Blue was a special colour on the Mk2. Small pic of mine at the Nordschleife last year.
