Dealer called today to say a VIN was issued last Friday for my car (serial number 2366). They said as of today is still showed it at Zuffenhausen.

Now the hard part begins, the final wait!

Yesterday night I saw another Orange GT3 RS on an open transporter full of Porsches. This was in the Frankfurt, Germany area and I expect it was going to one of the area dealerships. I believe your car will go by train to the sea port for the ship ride to America.

You cannot miss these orange and green Porsches.

I know the feeling from when my boring old GT3 got its VIN. You're about two weeks away from build completion and another three or four weeks after build complete to turning the key for yourself. What's the expected build date?

I suggest taking up an alcohol or drug habit to dull the agony for the next few weeks. I myself chose meditation and deep introspection to find my inner rear-engined self. My body is a temple. Well, more of a tree house. Would you believe a Teepee?

Somebody posted each of the check points and their meanings and lead times. Maybe on another forum site.
My car clocked along as per schedule but then moved very quickly from build complete to port to dealer. About a week quicker than the earliest expected date.

Congrats John! You are going to love it! I have been driving the GT3 every day since I got it and they are great cars. I can only imagine your RS will be even better. At least I have the same steering wheel and flywheel!

My car was "completed" on 1/9/07 - so it is built and awaiting tranport to the West coast - pdi and release by Porshce NA.
