GT3 RS Rollbar in GT3
From over on 6speed, Brandywine Porsche tried to fit the GT3 RS rollbar in a "sunroof" equipped GT3. He confirmed it Does NOT fit. Anyone know of other bolt in options? I just do DEs, so thinking about the new Tequipment one when it arrives.

What is the difference between the 996 techquipment bar, and the one that doesn't fit in the 997 GT3? I was banking on the 997 bar and now that it doesn't fit, need to look elsewhere, AND FAST.
I want a full cage, front and back. Bolt in if possible. What are my options and what are the differences between those options and the cage which is SUPPOSE TO FIT MY CAR!

Installation requires some extra steps which are all in the realms of a good DIY.
I'll post a couple of pics when time permits.
I got an email from DAS today saying they don't have their 997 GT3 yet, so they don't have product yet.

If you're really serious about a full cage, you need to have one of the race shops (not street tuners)in your area weld one in, two/three day job at the most. A serious cage won't be a bolt in /catalog job I'm afraid, been there, done that. See where any local teams get their work done(TPC racing?), or even a top end stock car fabricating shop could easily do it for you.
I once had a custom 12 point cage/tube chassis fabricated (2" tubing) for less than I paid for a bolt in teq hoop bar....the porsche tax at work.
A weekend DE hoop bar is a different story, DAS is the best, teq is a bitch to install.

Welding in a full cage would be a big money decision and really means getting a race car and forgetting about modification to a street car.
