I don't really care, as long as the owner isn't stupid enough to mis-badge it as a GT3; same goes for Carrera to CS, C4S to Turbo, and GT3 to GT3 RS.

On a similar note, we'll see a lot of RS rear spoilers on GT3's.

I'm with Moody, think I'll debadge my GT3.

Back in the 80's, you could order a non turbo 911 with turbo body. Nothing wrong in aerokits but as long as it stays that way in the owner's head.

You still digging moots? I'm going to get a full boinger sometime in the coming months. I've been a hardtail holdout for years, but now that I'm a crotchey old fock, I need some comfort. LOL.

Mooty,

I got a custom Moots Vamoots SL one year ago. Now, more than 11,000 miles later, I still love it. (More miles per year than my GT3.) Alpha Q Sub-3 fork. Dura Ace. FSA compact carbon crankset (w/ MegaExo BB). Velomax/Easton Ascent wheels with ceramic bearings. The engine is a 46 year old racer, 5 feet 8 inches, 140 pounds, VO2 max over 65, resting HR 48, max HR 184. Likely riding with Floyd Landis this week. -m

moots made some good FS way back. mootaineer was great for it's time but i am too heavy for it. i feel the rear move on me. i also rode smoothie. that was much stiffer, but the 3" of travel was not designed well. either too stiff or you blow through 3" right away. ybb and rigor mootis were these best.

try maverick ML7.5 or whatever the latest number is. they thing rides terribly on parking lot, you need to try it on the trails. nothing has damping like that. it rides uphill like hardtails and down like real FS bikes. but no so good on single track as the wheel base is long.

for rode i have been die hard rob vandermark fan, from merlins to sevens. i love vamoots but i would break SL in two rides. 5'-10" 180 lbs. best resting HR i had was 58. geeze, you train with lance or what... and i am 10 years younger than you. i think i'll try to tow my GT3 with my bike from now on to get in shape...

i only managed 3000 miles in 2006 on a C50 with record and FSA std carbon crankset. ha speaking of fat pigs, i broke ksyrium spoke twice. these modern wheels got so few spokes, i can't believe how tweeked the rims go just after one spoke goes off.

It's only January 1, but I think I will nominate this for the quote of the year.

Sorry about the OT post guys, but to answer Mooty -- No, I don't train with Lance, but you have almost put your finger on my training formula: 1) as Eddy Merckx said, "ride lots," 2) keep finding faster and faster guys to train with and hang on for dear life. you gotta be pig-head stubborn and masochistic (for at least 200 miles per week). so the guys i ride with now aren't Lance but some of the HAVE trained with him and some wear their state championship jerseys when they feel like hammerin'. and speaking of hammering, the pro women often ride with élite amateur men in San Diego, so if you can hack it, you get to ride with Sarah Hammer and Jimena Florit among others. Those chicks are tough. -m

So how exactly should I be badging my "Turbolook"? It has a naturally aspirated engine built up from a 962 case. I wouldn't want anyone to think it was merely a turbo . . .

Hopefully, my wife can bring the GT3 and I will take the RS to the track and split track time b/w them when not racing.
Got ya.

Sounds interesting. How was the car originally badged from Porsche?
