That's what I forgot. Adam got his car here near me in FL, so I saw the car before Christmas. But when I saw it, I forgot to put on a window banner. ARRGGGHHHH.

That's almost easy to answer. But not really.
As a daily driver, I'd take the 7 for nav etc., but I'd rather deal with those creature comfort concerns and be in the 3. I think.
As a dual purpose track and street car, it's impossible to ignore the newness of the 7 and the fact it's never going to approach 500hp and it will always weight about 3000lbs. Taking a new $125K car to the track and driving without caution is a rich game.
As a race car again, the 3 can be whatever it wants to be in terms of power and weight but will never likely have the sophistication of the 7.
I really like the balance in the 7 in terms of being excellent on the street but (reportedly) great on the track. With better dampers (PASM isn't winning me over) I think the 997 GT3 will be a hard act to follow. Stir in some RS rear suspension components, add some lightness and it will be the track toy of choice. In my humble.
Time will tell. No sense in drawing profound conclusions after two days. : )

I'm late as usual. Congrats and Nice ride Adam. So can I get a E ticket ride one of these days? I think the GT3 Script would look pretty nice on the sides.

Driver meet is usually around 8:00.
Keep in mind traffic on Monday morning will be congested around Hwy 1 if you take that route.

I plan on putting some paint protection on the wheel arches.
Graphics?
Like Scott's patented side graphics?
No idea. What's available?
The only graphics I need in a hurry is a set of "222" numbers in that 10 inch removable adhesive/static cling plastic stuff or magnetic or whatever.
Is there somewhere in the Bay Area to get car numbers over the counter?
I got some at Wine Country but they didn't have the reusable type.

Get a flatbed driver to pick it up, don't waste your day.

ps. You could rent my 996 GT3 ... what's the going rate ... ? : )

pps. The drivers' meeting is where we discuss cars that disappear in clouds of oil smoke and the drivers who bring these junkers to the track ...

The 996 is on Sport Cups. Alignment is Kussmaul. Drives pretty nicely.

We'd have to charge something like $1000 per rev over-limit tick ... I just had it checked yesterday and no type 2 overs ... amazingly ... : )

Interesting comment. PASM=jacked up Bilsteins and IMO likely cannot emulate a quality shock like a moton, jrz, ohlin etc.

As time marches on, GT3 owners will play with these suspensions, but I thought PASM-ectomy throws all sorts of error codes? Farnbacherloles told me that they reprogram the computer to complete PASMectomy, but since I'm not local I've been wondering how de-PASMing can be done. . .
