I like the small carbon pack also - mainly because it takes away the awful silver plastic strip that goes across the dash.

My other concern is the rear centre console - it's a big slab of awful plastic and while in many cars you can colour code it to the exterior colour, with black exterior paint it doesn't really do much for the interior (above the stock black plastic). I also found the painted centre console scratched very easily.

As someone else said, I'm also worried about the alcantara wearing badly on the shift ****, so perhaps the small carbon pack is the best way to get rid of the silver dash strip and the wear on the alcantara...

I also think it would be nice to bring the special ness of the seat backs into the rest of the car - I know that sounds a bit garage-queeny but I'm sure some of you will know what I'm going on about in terms of aesthetics

It may be possible to wrap the pieces that normally come in carbon, in alcantra? Just a thought, i think it would be pretty nifty.

De-carbonized and alacantara interior is perfect for a GT3. I sat in one recently and the interior is so much better than any other 911. Adding expensive bits of carbon/plastic, wood and leather does nothing for a true sports car like the GT3. I would prefer to leave the interior standard and spend the savings on big yellow brakes.

For interior bling yellow seat belts are okay - but not with the clubsport package with the harness in red.

Howya Icon. No, I don't have one on order yet, but there's a chance that I might get a build slot - should know in a couple of weeks. And yes, I'd love to get into tracking, but finding time is difficult with work and family commitments. As regards carbon fibre, I'd rather that than the crappy plastic - especially the centre console - it's a big yuck in plastic.

Yep but I'm probably selling it. It doesn't have the traditional 911 fresh air recess ( even though that's better aerodynamically) and I want that 911 look back. It's very light though!

I know, I meant I wish it were standard as it is in the ROW model.

The seats are ~$6500 on the UK configuration guide, so ordering them with the car wouldn't have been that great of a savings. I wonder how much of a deal you could get on these at Sunset...

They standard equipment on the RS...now I expect Porsche to adjust US pricing accordingly and that goes for all the goodies we don't get here!

Are the seats a true CF shell or the same plastic shell with a carbon overlay? Anybody know for sure?
