A very simple question, but one I am struggling with, is the optional carbon trim available for the GT3 and RS tacky?
Has carbon had it's day and does it now look a bit 'boy-racer', even on a track car?
Or can you option it on the GT3/RS and get away with it? All of it? Or just a few bits?

yes.
personally, if i ordered a GT3 or an RS, the only option i would get is xenon, since my night vision is b/n zero and zilch. everything else is just dead wt mostly.

guido, nice int.
these things are personal choices.
despite it looking nice and polished, i would not want carbon or full leather in MY car.

Do you have any more you can share please? Is that a Euro spec car?Needless to say, I like the carbon look - I have the small carbon kit (option 803) on my Carrera S coupe. By the way, this is my first post over here as it took me a while to find the 997 GT3 forum - what up with that? It's not in the regular drop-down menu.

Yes it is.
They look good and if they were real carbon fiber pieces, it would not tacky but these overlaid c/f dash pieces are.
Damn those seats look great!

As much as I like alcantara, I'd likely order the carbon shift ****/handbrake as it will wear better. If and when I get the new GT3, I likely will get those seats. Hopefully the price will drop a bit by then.
