AliExpress Head Unit install
#16
This looks factory to me and normally with an aftermarket head unit I'd never say that. Thanks for sharing.

I bought the black unit and paint matched the hvac and lower control module, then got a .2 lower cubby as its the same design. Fantastic unit minus the aforementioned mounting lacking, but fixable.

got the $260 one, part #UIS8141E-2-32-Bose
I dont touch anything but the volume button as I use my phone and dont use carplay so i cant comment on functionality but its good for my bluetooth streaming.
I also deleted the bose sub and nav unit up front but it still works with an MOST loop I bought.

You can just unplug the sub and itll still work. If you wanna delete the nav unit in the frunk next to the amp I just got an MOST loop off amazon and plugged it into the fiber plug that went into the nav disc changer to make the fiber optic loop continous.
To be honest the oem system is unnecessarily complex with the fiber etc.

Japanese radio made in Czech Republic. Only Chinese is the laser. Not a Chinese radio. Best radio I've ever had was Japanese, Nakamichi CD700 II. Still have it.

Advanced
This looks like an amazing solution for the price.
There seems to be a confusing amount of different options though. I wonder if anyone has done one in a sound package plus vehicle like mine without the Bose and which unit would be required? From my limited research it might be less plug and play.
I don’t care about having a backup camera or the other options. I just want Carplay preferably wireless and to not have to rewire or splice any of the existing wiring.
