CS is SUCH a raw and visceral car; one of those that amazes me Ferrari built and sold to avg Joe public. I can’t think many, absent very hard core car enthusiast could appreciate it. I loved mine and often miss that crazy f1 downshift at full tilt. It’s insane! It makes a similar era Porsche feel REFINED.
i was lucky to flog mine at silver stone a few times before letting it go. It was my first right hook track experience. The paddles were a good entry into rhd on track. Don’t ask me about my first manual rhd experience at goodwood. Not a full money shift but I realized it was 2nd instead of 4th a split second quickly enough!
Thank you very much. The CGT looks and sounds better than most cars, so I'm sure it keeps the smiles from withering away.
I am looking forward to receiving the car. However, as it is wintertime here in Hokkaido, I don't know how much I can drive until the roads are cleared of snow. At least I can admire it until the weather permits some driving :/.
As a recent owner to a CS (or any Ferrari)...the car is intoxicating. It had been a grail status car since new, and after 12 yrs of different Mezger GT2/3/3.6RS/3.8RS/SW3.9, I can say CS feels as special as any. The car is an event every time you get in. There are lots of similarities in driving experience to my current 996gt3 that's modified with cup car and clubsport bits. The rawness, the steering and feedback, handling, stiff ride quality. It's very clear the track focus DNA. Sound is another world even in stock form, but aside from the F1 trans, both cars are more similar than not IMO.
But I gotta say, jumping into the CS is more of an occasion than the gt3...maybe it's cause I'm still in the honeymoon phase. The sound the car makes even cruising between 3-4k is intoxicating. It's a great combo to a Mezger gt3/RS. Neither one is a substitute for the other.

What is the best way to get a CS manual converted? I hate automatics so that kills it for me but a manual CS would be pretty nice to have - although i have to really think about whether i am a 2 Ferrari kind of guy..

How @650kid did it. When I got my car, Peter at Universal AutoSport PPI it and mentioned he had done 5 or 6 conversions. Not cheap but sounds like better than the aftermarket options out there.
