Also a quick note about service... the 360 is the last Ferrari based off the famous Tipo F131 which means it does have the annoying timing belt service every 3-5 years we've all heard of. But unlike ones before it, the 360 has an access panel behind the rear seats that allows you to do the belt service without dropping the engine, which turns a $10K engine out service into a $3,500 job. It's still more to deal with than modern timing chain Ferrari's, but that's why 355's and 360's sound the way they do...

FWIW I shopped the 3RS and the CS. Prefered the Porsche after driving them and ended up with a .1 GT3. Didn't find the 3RS worth the delta in price for my use case. I could see adding a CS but as an addition, not a replacement for my GT3.

Thank you! I also love the styling of the CS. Simple yet beautiful Ferrari design. Some call it the last beautiful Ferrari. I love my 997.2 RS as well, but I don't drive it as often as I should. With such low mileage on her, I've decided to keep it as an occasional driver. Indeed, it is a first-world problem. I feel incredibly fortunate, considering all the things happening around us.

Not a 7gt owner, but I own a 6gt2 and a CS, so I'll share my USD 0.02 for what it's worth:
I was shopping for either a 6gt3rs or a CS and in the end a CS won that race. The Mezger Porsches are definitely the more rational choice (faster, more reliable, cheaper to maintain). On the other hand the CS is fascinating in a certain way that I can not quite put in words. It's incredibly brutal but yet quite refined at the same time somehow.
It's the perfect car if you are not particularly fond of Teslas, iphones and tiktok.

Thanks for the messages and help on this one!! Love this community!
I bought the car, but still waiting delivery. Purchasing cars in Japan is not the same as the US. It typically takes 3 weeks once you sign on the dotted line. In my case, it might even take longer since the car has to be shipped from Yokohama to my neck of the woods.

Congratulations on the car. Wow it is beautiful. I had a CS, bought it brand new, and loved it. Of course, I sold it a year before they started appreciating. Duh.
It does feel larger than my .2 GT3. You sit "in it" more and I'm only 5'7". Be mindful of the nose. They make delrin pucks that you can mount to the bottom of the front bumper and if you don't have them they can prevent a lot of damage as the CS is SOOOOO LOOOOW.
Lastly, you need to lubricate the door hinge between your house and the garage because it will get extra wear on it. You find yourself going out and gazing at the car several times a day.

Congratulations on your decision to add the 360 CS to your collection @madmurdock . I definitely look forward to reading about your own comparisons as you amass seat time in the Ferrari!

This is so awesome! Huge congrats. Super special cars and I feel this generation f car really complements a 7-3 well. Very different experience that should provide tons of fun and variety. I’m so happy with my similar combo. Got a car for every mood now! One bit of advice that was given to me and has served me well. The first thing you should do when you get it, no matter what, is get a brand new high quality battery and keep it tended 100% of the time when not in use. These cars are super sensitive to voltage variations and fluctuations and you will save yourselves more headaches, avoid more little gremlins, and simplify future troubleshooting if you start fresh with a known solid battery. I did the same and it was best advice ever. I feel so strongly about this that I left a dome light on once and ran down the battery and even through I was able to bring the battery back to life I relegated it to use as a spare and just bought a new one to install so there would be no doubt or future concerns. Enjoy!
