Default center muffler install instruction needed for a 997.1 gt3

Does anyone have instructions to install a center muffler delete for a 997.1 gt3. I'm trying to remove mine (without removing the entire exhaust system) for better access to install a water pump. Google only got me info on 991's.

Thanks,
Dave

Most of the instructions include removing the rear bumper. Including a DIY from a Rennlist member and also the official Porsche instructions for both center and side mufflers.

It was a while ago, but, best to jack up rear of car, remove rear wheels, remove bumper, pull 1 side muffler, pull center muffler.

Pyrex's explanation is exactly the easiest way to do it. You'll only need a DIY for the rear bumper so you don't miss a screw. Everything else is self explanatory.

Also for peeps with a center delete, mark the position of the center delete before you remove to make reinstall easier. Stock system is a bolt on in place so it will naturally line up with the center of the bumper exits.

You definitely don’t need to remove the wheels. I just removed the bumper and had no space issues at all.

Yup. Just jack up each side to access the screw right behind the rear wheel, like you see in that video link by wonderdan. I couldn’t for the life of me access that without jacking up the car to create space between tire and bumper. Rear bumper removal is easy peasy after that. Though cds4402 has us all beat with the use of that rear bumper removal rug.
