Default Redisc - Refurbishment of PCCB (answers)

Hi guy, hope you don't mind posting this, but I have some great news. In the year 2022 we have started to refurbish carbon ceramic disc under our name.
Our service is already known because our technology was already used by someone that is known here on the forum, that had a license to sell this service, but production was always here in Slovenia (EU).
Let me be clear, that this is NOT the same company nor we are not connected anyway. The production is in our possession and we want to help you save on the costs of CCB and perform very good service for a reasonable price in order you are happy with the whole process.

So to be short, you can read all of the info on Home - ReDisc
If anybody has any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me on PM or email or to give me a call.

I appreciate your time for reading this post and hope to get some feedback from you.

Best regards, Maja

Are the refurb prices per pair of rotors or single? For example up to 370mm says 1815 euros + vat.

Up to a diameter of 370mm - €1,815 plus + VAT

Fixing element (floater) for PCCB single €75 plus + VAT

Is there any connection between your company ReDisc and the original German refurbishment company ReBrake or Sicom as I think they were called initially ?

No, the production for Rebrake was done in Slovenia by Sicom (I believe) in the past. Redisc has bought only the technology and upgraded it. I believe that Rebrake has never owned the technology.
We are here for a new and fresh start, with a team, customer support, marketing, and our own production line.

As a current owner of a set of 'worn' PCCBs I will happily read up on your product offering and service.

So far it's been good, as you can see on the second pic I have something called carbon burn... where the fibers actually burned out of the rotor surface.

My first step was to provide the current weight of each rotor (candidacy checkpoint 1) and the starting weight of each (printed on the hat).

Then process started by finding an Amazon box that fit them and pack them up nicely. I had a few forms to fill out but they took care of shipping from direct pickup from the house, international shipping and customs (~$300 each way).

Then when they land onsite they go through (candidacy checkpoint 2) (shipping is non-refundable obviously if its a "no"). This is where they have multiple methods to determine how much material there is to work with.

They are getting started on the actual refurb

Stay tuned...

Hey @Wonderdan if you don't mind sharing the weights with me I'll keep that information handy. Thanks, and best wishes on the refurbishment process!

Only you will know the weights, every PCCB is different. After they are manufactured they print the exact weight of that specific rotor+hat on the side of your hat, then you just re-weight them to see how much material you have lost since new.
