Best driver’s 911?

The 996 GT3 is hard to beat for filthy thrills. She shrieks, bucks, bites, runs, ya, a total turn on. Very rewarding when you get it all right.
The 997.1RS is so much more settled, and buttoned up. Much easier to run closer to the limit than the 6-3, and drop dead gorgeous by comparison.
Let's Drive!!!

Turbo Racer,... its sooo funny to see your poll over on the 964 subforum, and read all the comments there.
.... Majority say that THE car currently owned is THE best drivers car. hahahaha, so many myopic views & opinions. I love it.
really proves just how great ALL these Porsche's are, and how much the entire brand has a cult following

One thing I do know is that newer cars are faster but not always the most fun to drive. I’m looking backwards in time as I move forward in my journey.
the comments about the 996 gt3 are intriguing as well. I saw this video about the gt3rs on top gear. I enjoy these types of reviews: lots of burnt rubber and long smooth drifts and basically doing stuff I mainly dream about doing in my cars.

As much as I love my .2 GT3 I've been lucky enough to drive and ride in a friend's rubystone 964RS, and that is a SPECIAL car!! And it got my vote.

it's definitely a personal thing.
having had all the GT3/RS and 964RS, 964RSNGT, 993RS....
I would take 997GT3RS4.0 over all that
next woudl be 993RS
then a DISTANT 3rd 964RSNGT

also love the diversity of interests and view points Of the different members here. It’s really amazing what these cars are capable of and in which setting they are in. I was blown away @Spyerx thread on his 964 build! If you guys haven’t seen it or read it, it’s amazing (if you’re curious, it’s here https://rennlist.com/forums/964-foru...ld-thread.html).
So far the 997 gt3 has a healthy ;lead and it looks like the 996 gt3 and the 964 are neck and neck along with many who like the long hood in modified trim. Really interesting to me is the trend for older tech stock or with a restomod flavor over the new stuff.
I have to agree with that. Having had some nice new and newer cars, they are a lot of fun but, I find that there is something missing. I can’t say what it is but I just feel a little like I as the driver am taken out of the picture a little, or the car does everything so well, I don’t know. Anyway, lots of great posts and ideas here.

Wow! Speechless about your car history. I think I have to work harder or get a better career to afford all those cars I want. All top tier cars. I just finished reading @Spyerx build of 964 thread. All of it. Just amazing what he did.

Putting finishing touches on my 2.8L build on the 71, finishing a major house remodel (my wife's taste in marble and stone nearly eclipses mine for car mods), then FCF flows to the next phase of the 964. Not sure exactly, but likely some gearing tweaks + a 4L rev monster or a 3.6 with a turbo or 2.... have to see what Betim and I can come up with.
