Default What other models share the GT3RS rear body?

I know that the GT3RS uses the wider AWD body. What other models share the same rear body? Would 997.1 and 997.2 be the same? Your help is appreciated.

Any of the 997 4 models. For instance Carrera 4 or Carrera 4S. Also the 997.2 GTS, in even RWD, used the wide body. Also Turbo.

Thanks Bxstr. So .1 or .2 would work for 997.2 GT3RS?

Which specific part? Are you talking about either a .1 or .2 shell/body in white? Or do you have a specific part that you’re trying to see whether would fit a .1 or .2 RS?

I was wondering about the main body shell.

Aside from the dimensions, I'm not sure the RS body/shell is the same as any other wide-body variant. May just be lore, but I've heard there were production variations that distinguish them (RS) from the others (C4/C4S/GTS/Turbos), even though they (RS) started from the same platform (as the C4/C4S/GTS/Turbos). If that is the type of information that the OP is after, maybe someone here knows? If not, apologies for the distraction.

I believe you are correct. Not all wide body tubs are the same. I know there are some differences at least in the front where the shell is molded differently for AWD cars to make room for the front differential. I think the RS tubs also received some additional reinforcements, but I have no evidence to support this and don't recall where I read that. May not be true.

Don’t have info on RS, but base GT3 is a C4 body with a C2 skin. I’d assume RS has C4 body and skin. I’ll have to research more.

are you repairing a wreck and planning to re-shell the car? or doing a rear-clip repair? I would think that the easiest way to know the answer is to look up the body shell part #s for the various non turbo wide body cars in the parts diagram, although they are all NLA now. I believe only the front tub is available for purchase as a single piece.

Just looking at options. Thinking about using a flood car as a base for a track car with GT3RS parts on it.

You can cut the front fenders and fit cup flares, otherwise the front fender trim is just glued on the rs. Rear rs wing will fit any body, with a decklid. Rear bumpers and side skirts are different
