Help!!

Looking for some info or pics regarding seat belt mounts and harness mounting points?

I am midway installing the BBi Harness Bar in my 997. Install is WAY more complicated than indicated ( and I will post a How-to once done) and BBi are less than communicative.

I have seen pics of BOTH the harness AND seatbelt mounted to the seat rails.... and pics with one bolted to the Seat base and one to the cage. I am more concerned with the inner mounts at this point?
I have found the pic below - But they look like 996 seats.....


I purchased the Scroth GT specific harness and have Factory GT2 Folding buckets...

Any pics would help me greatly!!!

Seat belt bolts to the seat on buckets. There is a thread here that shows exactly what you need. Get your search going.

Thanks for the info.... I used search extensively and haven't come up with a definitive answer...

I understand that the seatbelts bolt to the seats - I was asking if the harnesses ( i specifically ordered a Porsche specific one) ALSO bolt to the same position as the seatbelt?

I have seen images of both....

Yes, the lap portion of the harness attaches to seat bolt.

I have the Gt2 Folding buckets and factory brackets - - hence my question regarding the "block" - if you have stock buckets in your car- could I bother you to take a pic for me?

I will only be fitting to the Drivers anyway - and am still waiting for trim parts and sub belt to be delivered from the US..... Covid has sloooooowed every thing down!

@fullboost , try this link. I had the stock seats in my car then out in the Recaros. See the pics…. It’s a bit tricky, but if you look for the belt and lap portion you can see they are together.

I have done a ton of searches and can see both options.
The bar has a mount as well on it - But I wanted to see how the factory did it, but it seems some harnesses were installed AFTER delivery and were attached to the car while others show both.

Of course!! Happy to help. I always felt ‘safer’ by having the lap part of the harness attach to the seat belt bolts as the crotch part was attached to the sub bar. Knowing that I was locked in from the waist down till the seat, makes sense to me. FWIW, Cup cars run the same set up (in Ontario, Canada anyway).

Stay safe and make sure to bounce it off the rev limiter once or twice for me
