Then two guys that wanted to flip it reached out to me, and in the end the car would have ended up at a dealer or on BAT so I grabbed it and all in I have over $130k in it. But I took a chance and it's 100% perfect. Not a 99% car. 100% f*cking amazing with 9300 miles and PCCB's. Turned down $140k, then another Rennlister tried to tell me it was a $130k car trying to get me to cut loose with it until he figured I know my sh*t and said "yea....hold out for $150k". Hell of a nice guy though. I don't blame him for trying.

It's also GT Silver w/ PCCBs and 9300 miles on the clock. And a couple extra like Euro bumper and Sharkwerks center muffler delete, with all the original parts. Like the OP's car, 1 owner with everything included from day one. Every record and even the certificate of Origin. The OP's car doesn't have PCCBs and I think that's a hit, but still his car is a $140k car. Maybe $145k. But many on this forum would rather pay $125k and buy one with 25-30k miles. I'd say most Rennlisters feel that way. That's not me personally as it's worth $15-20k to get a car with low miles and no track time. To each his own.

There is something askew with the 997 GT market. The delta between GT3 and GT3RS is too wide. It should not be the $50k-$70k we see at times.

This Gwagon thing cracks me up since the two AMG cars I owned were both three years old when I bought them half price. I make good money but I'd shoot myself if I took that first three-year hit. Nothing depreciates more. And it's an SUV that unless I'm wrong is not limited production. Same sh*t Porsche manages to pull off. But if you want a powerful well-built and beautifully-appointed cruiser nothing compares. Still it baffles me how marketing happens.

Did you show your buddy the 140k bid?

BTW - g63 isn't worth all the hype - I had one for a couple weeks - it didn't drive well. Got rid of it, and back into a Range SvR

Never owned a G Wagon. Never cared to. They look like a shoebox on wheels to me and too “Gangsta” in my eyes. As they say… beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Forget the G Wagon and buy a Raptor. I DD mine. Love it. Does everything and for near 1/2 the price. They also hold their value. You can keep the GT3 too. Best of both worlds.

Looking at prices this morning for GT3/RSs. Nuts. Very few available. GT3 asking prices $150k. RS asking prices 997.1 $227k for a black w/orange 7000 miles and a .2 with 40,000 miles for $190k white w/red.

Soooo does that make my white/gold 997.2 RS with 9000 miles now a $250k car? Geez. Paid $200k in January and thought I over paid.

Keep the GT3 and buy a Raptor. Mho.

I wanted to refer a Rennlisters....and did... but that didn't work out and the seller didn't want hassles and I knew it was going to disappear. I have a buddy here that I thought would want it but now he just bought a bigger house. I'm deciding my next move as I'm out of space and my GTS is parked at my business and I don't dig that. So I put it up for sale. I'm looking at getting a beach house and that would solve the parking issue and I'll keep it but it's so damn expensive here I could spit.

By the way Waxer I didn't know you were the guy that bought my dream car. Congrats. I reached out to the guy but it was gone if it's the one I'm thinking about.

Your not doin too shabby best I can tell. Mine came from Isringhausen. Was this the one?

Purchased in January 2021. 8700 miles. No over revs in ranges 2-6

You know what? …even if it isn’t just say it was so I can feel like I finally won out on something! 👍

It was not. It was a guy that had it on pca.org (as I recall) for $200k then increased it to $240k. I called hoping to roll it back to $200k and it was already sold. I love the white car I have frankly. It suits me just fine While it's near mint, it's to 100% mint, so I can simply drive it and enjoy it....which I do. If w white/gold car like yours came up I'd be interested but really I love the drive and looks of the .2 GT3. It suits me. I thought the GT3 would not wear GT Silver well but ohmygod it's stunning.

You own a 997.2GT3 RS... one of the best sportscars ever built. Let me be the first to tell you, you're winning.

Can’t go wrong with a GT3 in silver. Classic.

I’m blessed. Love the 997RS. One of the best auto moves I made.

OP,

In this market, I think there is a buyer out there at $140-150K for your car. You only need one. That said, the chances of you finding someone who has a G63 allocation and wanting to trade for your car is slim to none. De-couple the transaction: sell the GT3 and then go find someone with an allocation. Contact all the dealers in your region and they may be willing to put the word out for you. Only question is how much are you willing to pay for the allocation? If you make it sweet enough, you'll get your allocation. Good luck!

An original owner low milage .2 GT3 is worth150k or more to the right buyer, I do not think options will matter at all, JMO.

As for the G-wagon, I love off-roaders, but I prefer something more subtle. I bought a 4Runner and put a supercharger in it.....but you like what you like.

Reach out to all the Merc dealers within a reasonable distance and let them know about your car and see if you get some traction.

GL!

The new G Wagon is an awesome thing, hand built by Magna Steyr in Austria they are a delight for most petrol heads, they don't go round corners quickly but the solidity of engineering is unmatched by anything else and driving one is always an occasion plus if you have kids to haul around you know they are in the safest possible place. You can't compare anything to a G63, I had a deposit in about 4 years ago and got the first at our dealer 2 years ago.

Swapping a GT3 for one is a little curious tho, 7 GTs should be kept at all costs they aren't going to make anything like them ever again.
