Is sharkwerk bypass kosher???
Just out of curiosity
Sharkwerk bypass with sports exhaust on. Can a cop pull me over and issue me a fix it ticket based on the noise?

Probably, it depends where you live and drive. Here in So Cal a lot of the beach cities have been cracking down on loud exhaust systems.

Yup, I have the track version and I’m totally addicted to the sound. I don’t even use my car radio or AC anymore. There is no better melody than a Mezger with a proper exhaust.

Well i guess ill consider myself lucky to think its loud. Anyways, any chance of cop pulling me over for this? Can he do decibel testing or whatever and give me a ticket?

It's been legally too loud in CA since 2019, I believe, to have an exhaust louder than 95 dbA. Police can exercise their judgment. I haven't read of anybody getting pulled over for their sharkwerks exhaust so far on rennlist. It hasn't been a recurring issue at least. I take a good over the shoulder look behind me when I get on an onramp before I hit the gas. There are so many obnoxiously loud Hellcats on side streets and parking lots, unlike our classy loud exhausts : )

I have valved side deletes and M&M/FVD center delete. Cold starts with garage door closed until the air pump kicks in. I leave with valves closed-I've had the Carnewal remote exhaust kit, essential to control them at will
Essentially I have the Supercup exhaust, but valved which quiets it a bit.
A trouper "grilled me" by tailgating on the expressway ramp recently. They must enjoy doing it in their Dodge Chargers Thought he was gonna pull me over but I guess he wanted to race
I also have 2 Kawasakis with straight pipes-a Z1 900 four and an H2, triple 2 stroke 750 with Denco stingers
When I kick start that bike people literally jump, it's nuts. At a red light once, a cop pulled up next to me on a Harley and asked me if I wanted to race He then peeled out wide open! Couldn't believe it...
With loud pipes people that never look at their rear view mirrors suddenly do, electric scooters and Teslas hear you, people driving at night with no lights hear you, drunk people, cats, dogs, raccoons, foxes(we have them here)
It is crazy here-I hear straight pipe Mustangs, Chargers, Challengers, Ferraris, then all the popcorn turbo tuned cars that sound like bunker buster bombs, they are the worse.
So my quiet daily driver is an S3 But driving a quiet car I'm constantly worried about the electric scooters, at night they're like fireflies downtown, running stop signs, going against traffic, nuts.
So I thought the straight pipes on the GT3 was gonna be too loud, but I like it and won't go back-
I had a close call with a sleepy driver changing lanes a couple of weeks ago-woke up startled by the sound before running into me.
But I imagine in many parts loud pipes will get you in trouble.
I'm more worried about quiet Teslas burning people alive
