RS is hard to downshift

It's better that way. Keeps everyone busy. There's ten guys running that picture through Photoshop computer
analysis.
Let's be real though. 1,000 pieces is a bit unrealistic. But we could do 100 pieces. We can appoint a board. The Select Comittee on Ascend Ownership that can be the keeper of the pictures and hire experts to stitch the pictures into one big picture of:
A car.
I would appoint the European Fecal Standards and Measurements
analysis.

It’s obvious that it’s going to be a rare siting for one to capture an image of the Ascend RS. Likely as rare as finding man bear pig. It exists though. Perhaps an expedition to hunt it down. It’s real. I’m cereal.

Releasing clutch slowly vs fast
If the pedal is released quickly, a definite lurch can be felt as the engine and driveshaft re-engage and their speeds equalize. However, if the clutch is released slowly the clutch disc will "slip" against the flywheel; this friction permits the engine a smoother transition to its new rotation speed.
what do you guys do? Whats better for the car? Or do you guys get it 10/10 where clutch is dropped and its exactly at the right rpm?

You don’t dump it and you don’t slip it. Both are bad for the clutch. You do it right, something in between. Also shifting fast, is not the same as dumping the clutch (which is what I assume you mean by releasing quickly).

i just cant get it butter smooth all the time for upshifting. I do that in between thing but worry if it will accelerate clutch wear... but a slight lurch during shifting cant be good for a car either.

If you do the throttle blip right, the speeds will be equalized when you re-engage the clutch. This allows you to release the pedal very quickly since both the engine and the gearbox input shaft are spinning at the same speed. It takes time to master but it's a source of joy when you get it right.

That is the hard part. When rpms match, it feels butter smooth. But hard to do it everytime.
